83artWelcome to episode 82 of The Retro Asylum, the UK’s No1 Retro Gaming Podcast. In this episode your hosts are MrSid aka Sam and PressPlayOnTape aka Steve.

The guys take a look at one of the most popular game developers/publishers ever; Ocean Software. Starting in 1984 where it all began, and then working their way through the years right up until 1998.

Each year, the guys will talk about which games came out, what they were like and what other landmark occasions happened.

Throughout the timeline will also be contributions from our listeners who each talk about their favourite Ocean games. A massive thanks to The Drisk, Swainy, Paul Monaghan, Andy and Peter from New Zealand for their MP3’s! We hope you enjoy this podcast and as ever, if you have any feedback, do let us know.

Have not had a listen yet but, after your last combined effort, I’m picking this to be the best RA podcast yet. No pressure, then 🙂

Great podcast. I’ll also reinforce what was in the podcast, the book on Ocean software is very good. Lots of good detailed information.

  5. TEOL says:

The Jungle Strike conversion on the AMIGA was one of their best console to computers.

  6. TEOL says:

Good job again guys. This is as long as and as good as a Matt edition.

  7. TEOL says:

FS-UAE is my favorate AMIGA emulator. I enjoy using it in launcher mode though as you still get the pictures but you can re-scan the database which is updated daley with more titles and you can choose a different machine to emulate to see if it will run any faster with the extra RAM.

  8. TEOL says:

I can’t remember where I got upto. lol.
