Welcome to episode 72 of The Retro Asylum, the UK’s No1 Retro Gaming Podcast. In this episode your hosts are MrSid aka Sam and PressPlayOnTape aka Steve. The guys catch up on what they have been up to and discuss some of what is going on in the world of retro gaming. Then we move on to the the main feature of the podcast where Sam and Steve fight it out for their favourite Commodore 64 and Amiga games. We each put forward our favourites, why we like them and then we choose which games make it into the final list. Within each system, we put forward our favourite Platformer, Shoot Em Up, Beat Em Up, Strategy, Sports and Arcade Conversion. Amongst the retro chit chat there will be commercials from back in day and music played from certain games.

    I can see that Bedroom to Billions theme being in a new Road Rash game as the Palm Desert music. lol.

    I’d say that none of those beat em ups count as a platformer isn’t a Beat Em Up and a Fighter is not a Beat Em Up the definition of Beat Em Up is fighting a load of punks on multiple screens not 1 on 1 which is a Fighter or Platforming which is called a Hack and Slash.

    That show was epic guys enjoyed it a lot although it was hard finding time for such an epic lengh.

      Well not that hard because I’m home fo rmost of thetime currently but hard in the way of not switching to another thing whilst listening prolonging the lengh more. lol.
