WWE Wrestlefest on iOS …. but is it as good as the original

Well, this is definitely the craziest thing to happen in wrestling games in quite some time — and wrestling is a sport built entirely on human insanity. WWF WrestleFest.

The classic arcade game by Technos, has been updated for release on iOS by THQ. The new “WWE Wrestlefest” has smoother graphics and an updated roster of wrestlers (a rostler, if you will) including John Cena and Randy Orton, alongside old-school wrestlers like the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage. It’s also been modernized with “an extensive downloadable content program.”

THQ also plans to release this new WrestleFest on XBLA, PSN, Android, and PC, sometime in 2012. So we hope the new version is good.

Cheers for posting this and also letting me know this tony:D

I was a huge fan of this game back in the good old days in the arcades.

This game has its pros and cons.

Pros this plays like the original game with more rings and more wrestlers to choose from the current wwe and legends.

Cons the graphics don’t look quite right,I prefer the look of the old game
A lot of the old roster are not there, probally due to licencing.

The biggest let down is the controls once again on the iPhone…..touch screen does not quite feel right!

But all in all this only £1.99 and if you are a fan of the orignal give it a go.
I’m going to buy it again on xbla when’s it’s out:D

oh no, they have messed up the look totally. So bland, almost like a bad flash game or something. Well, hopefully still plays well will probably still check it out.
