T.E.A.R.S. Episode 12 – Alien Breed

It’s time for another episode of T.E.A.R.S.! Today, I’ll be reviewing Team 17’s classic Sci-Fi shooter Alien Breed.

Developed and published by Team 17 back in 1991, Alien Breed was an arcade adventure game where you go around investigating an abandoned space station which is crawling with aliens. It was very inspired by the Alien movies, and at the time received very favourable reviews and put Team 17 on the map. Does this game still hold up well today? Let’s find out!

    The more I watch of your TEARS series the more I think how much I missed out on not owning a amiga.

    Ive heard loads about this game but never played it, I think there’s a remake of sorts on xbla, which I will probally get.

    Cool. Yeah this was a bit of a show stopper for the Amiga at the time – great fun in two player, very frantic!

    great little top down shooter that was prob only beaten by the chaos engine when the bitmap brothers came to town, yes and look at the aleins in this game, im surprised this went under thr radar and someone didnt get thier buts sued lol.

    But the game was great and fun to play, pressed all the right buttons and made the fans happy

    Keep the series goign mate its going from strenght to strength
