RetroXtreme 2013

RetroXtreme is an exclusive retro gaming tournament being held at the BFI IMAX in London on Friday 4th October 2013.

The event will see over 200 retro gamers compete in a variety of retro games and play on the biggest screen in the UK. The event is run by gamers, for gamers, and will feature consoles and computers from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, developer sessions, demos of modern retro inspired games and “play the creator” tournaments.

Players will compete for amazing prizes such as unique custom gold consoles, giveaways from game publishers, signed retro goodies and the grand prize, The RetroXtreme Golden Joystick. Visitors will also be able to play a variety of classic retro console, computer games and handhelds and we are looking into having some original arcade cabs and pinball on free play available.

One of the other show highlights will be the retro gaming timeline which will showcase every major computer and console in chronological order, playable with the most popular game from each system. Visitors can experience a visual and interactive history of gaming across the decades.

Tickets must be purchased through the Kickstarter campaign and are limited to 200 players and 200 visitors. They will sell out fast, so to make sure that you are ready to buy when the campaign launches.

For more information on the launch visit RetroXtreme on Facebook and Twitterregister your email on the mailing list or keep visiting the website.
