Really enjoyed the podcast. The reviews, W.T.F, Name the game & Hidden gems really keep you listening. Will have to check out those hidden gems, I’ve never even heard of Quartet, don’t know how I missed that one but looks good. I’ll back Swainy up regarding double dragon, despite it’s age I agree it’s the superior game (but I guess i’m in the minority). However my personal opinion is that the greatest scrolling beat’em up is Capcom’s D&D game Shadow over Mystara.

I’ve never played Shadow Over Mystara, I’ll have to check that one out. Cheers Scopie!

Shadows over Mystara AND Tower of Doom (the first of the two) are really gems! Sadly almost never ported to any other systems and without the instructions on the arcade cabinet you miss out on a lot of the extra moves and nuance (so look up an FAQ before playing) 😉
