kenan & Kel didn’t Coolio more known for his Gangstas Paradise song do that track as well?

The only music entry I could find for Kenan & Kel is the in program music not the theme tune unless it’s ASCAP rather than BMI which I only could be bothered to look for it in BMI and may look at it in there soon.

Maybe I should look in ASCAP as well to be able to back it up about the Coolio thing.

I’ve found the info for Rugrats in BMI though and it’s by MARK ALLEN MOTHERSBAUGH.

I’ve checked with every music publisher I know about Kenan and Kel’s theme song now and everything is RICHARD J TUTTOBENE maybe it’s an alias for Coolio’s real name or something the surname certainly does sound African American decent for sure so maybe the rumors of Coolio doing it is true?

You’ll never be able to guess the person who does the original Rocko’s Modern Life Theme though as it’s not vocalized by a male at all. 😀

Her name is Sarah Frost. 😀

I never had access to any of the sky / cable channels as a kid and had to settle for the main 4 (ITV on christmas morning was always great, same 2 hour animation every year). When we did get cable / sky I was more into Cartoon Network, Fox Kids but only certain programs. Fox kids for the late night repeats of Mask, Ulysses 31 and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Carton Network for the occasional anime (later on CNX). The only Nickelodeon show I caught on BBC 2 on monday evening in a program section called “DEF 2” Which was Ren & Stimpy and also featured The Tick, Aeon Flux, The Head and others.

There was nothing really that appealing for me on Nick as I was never a fan of the live action stuff especially Kenan and Kel & Sister Sister although my sister loved the channel.

I remember when I was 10 my mum and dad got sky tv in 1994 and on channel number 7 was

I loved this channel it had new fresh cartoons not old cartoons that where getting old.

I watch the channel from 1994 to 1997 so anything after 1997 I don’t know about as I was getting into PC gaming by then also I was 13 going 14 years old by then so I was getting too old to watch cartoons.

this is the shows I liked on Nickelodeon
    Ren & Stimpy
    Rocko modern life
are you afraid of the dark
    kenan and kel

I remember the Presenters like Rick Addams and that fish he name is bert the Fish bogie the puppet lol

thank you for sharing the memories I enjoyed your podcast keep up good work

WOW! I had a great dose of nostalgia listening to this episode! Nickelodeon was freakin’ awesome! I especially remember the idents 🙂

So many great shows on that channel. Rugrats, Ahhh! Real Monsters, Stickin’ Around (yes I remember that one too), Rocko’s Modern Life, Are You Afraid Of The Dark… all great shows. But nothing can compare to the greatest cartoon ever made… Ren & Stimpy! 😀

Great podcast! Keep it up! I’d love to hear more from you 🙂

BTW that monster in Ahhh! Real Monsters! who has to hold his eyeballs is called Krum. Odd ly enough, I can’t remember the names of the other monsters! 🙂

I also liked watching those blocks on Pro Sieban & Super RTL. They had the contract at the time to show the best intended for teenagers cartoon shows from every channel like Ren & Skimpy & Rocko’s Modern Life & Simpsons and the best kids cartoons at the time too Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin & Timon & Pumbaa.
