Draughts Genius – ZX Spectrum

One of the best freebies i ever got as a kid, this game came free in old retro magazines in the good old days.

As you can tell by the title of the video, this game is about Draughts/checkers the board game. The genius part comes from the fact is that the computer controlled player is Einstein, so you can imagine this game is going to be hard. I’ve actually never beaten Albert Einstien ever and I’ve been playing this game for over 20years!

Its a good game and the graphics although simple are nicely drawn and stand out and you can always tell what is going on. What made this game special was not just that it was a freebie but in the intro of the game, they have got a nice animation of the programmers dancing to some music that someone is playing on the piano, so that gave it a nice sense of humour. please feel free to comment on the video. All in all this is a draughts game and it works well on the Speccy.
